When I was a kid, me and my friends would sneak over to the train tracks near our house and tape pennies to the track, then we’d wait for a train to run over them and flatten them out. We thought we were pretty smart and we even considered trying to sell our compressed little masterpieces. This video is a commercial for a Norwegian company that plays off that childhood game, taking it to a clever extreme. I do wish I still had those pennies, they really were kinda cool.
Saw this on Misty Mawn’s cool blog the other day, what a lovely way to end another busy the week.
Check out this video by student (and future filmmaker) Alex Hirsh, at the California Institute of Arts in Santa Clarita, very clever!
Got the Monday blahs? Watch this cute kid video, I guarantee you’ll smile:)
Okay if you haven’t seen it yet, here it is, the cutest critter video on YouTube to date and now set to a Beatle’s song. It’s spring (the coldest spring in bookbabie’s memory, but still) and love is in the air!
The exchange of information on the web is mind boggling, sometimes for the better, and yes, sometimes for the worse. But what I like most about the web is how it gives us all equal access to people, art, and music that we never might have known. I stumbled across this band on YouTube today. The Plain White T’s are five boys from the heart of the Midwest who can really sing. Lead singer and songwriter Tom Higgenson was injured in a car accident in 1999 and the near death experience gave his life and writing a depth that many young performers simply don’t have. I hope the boys don’t mind an old, new fan.
