robert downey Jr.(again)

I made this on Ultimate Flash Face. This is the kind of thing people do when they are getting over the flu and they’re tired of watching TV (people like me for instance). Does it look like someone we know? Someone who maybe likes to Google himself? We did get one new Google hit the other day that may of been him, Robert Downey Jr and February 2009, so maybe our plan worked, thanks for all the help 🙂

cool plug-in

I read about the plug-in Cooliris this weekend in the New York Times and decided to try it out. Cooliris is a new way to browse the web using images that scroll on a 3D Wall as you click and move your mouse around. I did the screen capture above after searching for “bookbabie”.  I had no problems downloading and running the program for my browser, Firefox, and the best thing is it’s free! They sneak in ads on the wall here and there to pay for the technology but it’s no biggie because unless you click on them they don’t run. Click on the photo or the text link and experience a fun and futuristic way to explore the web!

Progress lies not in enhancing what is, but in advancing toward what will be. ~Kahlil Gibran

in the news

Clipped this story from the paper today and thought my friends and readers would like to see it. Yes, things are looking up around here for the bookbabie. And it’s about time too isn’t it? I mean, don’t we all think we deserve good things to start happening when we’ve been through a rough spell? Doesn’t The Secret say if we believe it we can manifest it? Whatever, click here if you want to manifest your own fake newspaper article.

friday rerun

I posted this great gadget (one of my faves) on my old blog and it’s time for a rerun. Here’s a couple of quick tips for saving your card. You can right click and copy the image then paste it into a photo program, or right click the mouse over your image and “save image as” to a folder (where you’ll be able to find it!). It saves as a png file so if you want to blog it you’ll have to change it to a jpg. Just open it in your photo editing program, adjust the lighting or contrast if need be, then “save as” a jpg. Easy, now click here and go make your own!

May your own hospitality inspire others to greater generosities, and forgiveness be your silent secret gift. Take responsibility for your own life and for your own actions and you will know the freedom of self-reliance. Walk softly and enjoy.

The photo and the blessing are from a neat site that generates a blessing and three random spiritual photos. Who can’t use a few few words of wisdom now and then? Check out the Worldwide Blessing Generator.
