skywatch friday

…she stared out the car window and watched as the country terrain began to roll gently under a lovely postcard blue sky, the fields and meadows changing color like the patterns on a quilt, moving from pale greens to muted gold’s to faded browns, dotted here and there with grazing creamy white sheep and striped with sleeping grape vines strung out like martyrs between five foot posts. ~Chapter 15, Love is a Many Splintered Thing

  1. I can’t even express how much I LOVE this photograph! It has clarity, crispness and rich color, and the textures are so wonderful! Your quote tells of a postcard blue sky, and also of a moving quilt, but this shot, though like a quilt in its variety, is just so much more! You have a lot to be proud of with this…what a great Skywatch! Thanks so much for sharing!

  2. What a great photo! It makes me want to be there sitting on that fantastic rock wall, enjoying the view! Beautiful!

  3. I agree with Tile lady Marie, the photo pops out of the screen and looks 3-D! Amazing!

  4. Beautiful sky watch photo. I also listened to your Mylie Cyrus music video. Great message for this complicated fast paced world. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Wow, this is so beautiful! The perspective draws me right in. I want to be there NOW. Thanks for your visit and comment at my skywatch post. 🙂

  6. a stunning photo bookbaby–the logic of it so rustic; beauty soulful. I think the text, mentioning the “postcard blue sky” immediately prompts the mind back to the image, to accept the postcard dreamy quality, to also embellish it further with our own inner nostalgia… at least that is what happened to little old me.

  7. This is a stunning photo. Beautifully composed. And the colors are wonderful.

I want to be there, wherever “there” is.
