more cheese please

The other night while at a friend’s house for dinner I sampled a cheese and fell head over heels in love. Now I’m not a particularly cheesy person (so I like to think anyway),  and I’m even a little lactose intolerant, but this cheese was so yummy I made Sarah write down the name so I could pick some up. It’s called Dubliner and has a slightly sweet, nutty taste. I like it sliced thinly on gluten-free crackers, but it’s also great with apples, wine, and even beer. I’ve read that it melts well too so I plan to try it in some recipes. So move over George Clooney and bring on the Metamucil, this babie has a new crush;)

  1. Hi Lilli, I’m not sure ole George Clooney would be happy to know that he is being replaced by Metamucil and cheese!!!!! How funny!!!!

I love cheese though—almost all kinds–so I’ll bet I would like this one!!!!!

Hope you had a great weekend.
    Hugs,

  2. I don’t think I’d give up men for cheese…chocolate, yes.

I’m defininitely going to see if I can find this cheese in Missoula. I must have a taste for myself, this magical food you would give up George Clooney for!

  3. Nice shot…I’ve tasted it and it is not bad. It’s not one of my favorites. If I remember it was a little too pungent for me.

  4. I believe I have had this cheese during a book club gathering and it is really yummy. I seem to do okay with the firmer cheeses. It’s the soft ones that cause me problems.

Funny about Clooney being replaced by Metamucil. Does Metamucil work as well if stirred into a glass of wine? LOL.

  5. We tried this cheese today. Lizzi, Scotch and I all love it!!! Lizzi says it’s her new favorite.
