I’ve been thinking about the human spirit lately, that delicate, resilient, ageless part of us that holds fast to our dreams, hopes, needs, and wants. And I’ve been wondering, can we keep the changing circumstances of our life, both good and bad, from changing that essential part of us?
“The light died in the low clouds. Falling snow drank in the dusk. Shrouded in silence, the branches wrapped me in their peace. When the boundaries were erased, once again the wonder: that *I* exist.”
~Dag Hammarskjöld

This is a beautiful picture!
Thanks Maya, as you know, winter can make for some of the best photo opportunities!
Love the foggy shot, we’ve had a lot of fog this year, very strange winter weather but very pretty too! I think we can stay the same and true to ourselves but it can be difficult. I went through a very rough divorce last year and tried hard not to let it change me.
So sorry to hear about your troubles Sara and I hope you were successful dealing with the stress:)
What a beautiful shot! Great pic!
Thanks so much David!

Thank you Kat, I’ve really enjoyed my walks in the fog this winter:)
Your photo evokes the magic of winter. I believe the human spirit is very resilient.
Thanks Barb, I believe that too I really do, just feeling a little beaten down and tired lately…
Dag was such an articulate speaker – do miss that kind of communicator!
