wintry wednesday

Went to an ice carving show in town recently with my husband to take a few pics and get out of the house. It was cold cold cold, but the bright sunshine and blue sky made up for the chilly air. Thankfully, they aren’t holding the competition this week, it was 53 and sunny yesterday! We Instagrammed a few iPhone photos from the ice show and I took my Canon along too, this was my favorite capture from the Mark II.

  1. I like those pink/blue highlights in the ice – also like the idea of cotton candy! Our snow sculptures were last weekend, and they’re already falling to ruin in the sunshine.

    • I liked the colorful background too Barb, and I love horses so I’m glad this one turned out well. I went for a drive yesterday down some super muddy roads, looked and felt like spring. Even saw some bugs buzzing around in the garden!

  2. This picture reminded me of my childhood… we used to go to the train station every winter and see a ton of ice and snow sculptures. Thank you for taking me back to that wonderful memory! Love the photo!!🙂

  3. Gorgeous!!! What Talent they have… I always am in awe of people with that kind of talent…. WOW!!!!! I love seeing not only the ice sculptures but also the sand art which they do on the beaches… Tremendous!!! Thanks for sharing… Hope you are doing well, Lilli. It was GREAT to hear from you.
