Went to an ice carving show in town recently with my husband to take a few pics and get out of the house. It was cold cold cold, but the bright sunshine and blue sky made up for the chilly air. Thankfully, they aren’t holding the competition this week, it was 53 and sunny yesterday! We Instagrammed a few iPhone photos from the ice show and I took my Canon along too, this was my favorite capture from the Mark II.

the reflections in the ice are awesome ~ thanks for sharing…
Thanks hopefuldays!
I like those pink/blue highlights in the ice – also like the idea of cotton candy! Our snow sculptures were last weekend, and they’re already falling to ruin in the sunshine.
I liked the colorful background too Barb, and I love horses so I’m glad this one turned out well. I went for a drive yesterday down some super muddy roads, looked and felt like spring. Even saw some bugs buzzing around in the garden!
Really good job! The ice sculpture is beautiful but you captured it so well!
Thanks Kc!
Your photography is awesome! I loved the photos of baby Claire. I enjoyed your blog. I’ll be back. Thanks for your comments on my blog.
Thanks Sugar, I enjoyed your blog too:)
Great picture! And I used to think of ice as plain white chunks…
Me too Jendi, that’s why I liked this shot, lots of colors!
This picture reminded me of my childhood… we used to go to the train station every winter and see a ton of ice and snow sculptures. Thank you for taking me back to that wonderful memory! Love the photo!! 🙂
Your welcome Mama, we don’t go every year but thought it was time to brave the cold this year and take some pictures!
Aww, that’s so sweet M. Hancock, loved “meeting” your cute little boys and getting a peek at your life on your blog!
what a GORGEOUS sculpture!
Isn’t it? I love horses and really like vintage carousal horses. If I could afford one I’d have one in my living room:)
