We’re kitty-sitting my daughter’s cat, Mr. Boo this week. I caught him checking out my bookshelves this morning. He just finished Dewey but when I tried to get him to read Marley & Me he said he’d pass, that he finds dog books, “trite and overly sentimental”. I’ve compiled an eclectic mix of best 2008 book lists for you, take a gander and see if you missed anything that sounds interesting!
Washington Post, Amazon, NPR, Publisher’s Weekly, Barnes & Noble, New York Times, Stephen King, Slate, Library Journal, Salon, Seattle Times, LA Times, The Sunday Times, The Washington Post, Time Magazine, The National Book Awards, The Atlantic, The Christian Science Monitor, The Village Voice, The Pulitzer Prizes, New York Magazine, PEN/Faulkner Award, Penguin Writer’s List, Salon Author’s Favorites, SF Chronicle
I was born with a reading list I will never finish. ~Maud Casey
My reading dropped way off last year. I’m hoping to change that fact for ’09.
Looks like Mr. Boo is an intellectual cat !
Have a very merry Christmas !

Marry Christmas holidays.
Love the quote and the pic! How was Dewey? It is on the to read list…
Wow, thanks for linking to all of these. I always use these lists to try to figure out what I most want to read in the next year.
Wow, that’s a lot of books! I can understand why Mr Boo cannot choose!
Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog 🙂
Best wishes! Alizé x
I have whittled my list down to a manageable 200 or 300 books I want to read…it must be time to add more 🙂 Thanks for the list links. I hope you enjoy this week, just turn the tree lights on, have a glass of wine, and read a book.
Very cute shot of the curious and well read kitty!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting! Love the shot. Nothing better than a well-read kitty.
Cheers!
