An old friend of the family made this music video in memory of my mother and just sent it to me. Frank DeLaMarre is a singer songwriter who wrote this song after John Denver passed away. Thank you Frank for creating this tribute, itโs beautiful! I think I’m going to take a break from blogging. I seem to have lost my writing/blogging/internet browsing mojo. While writing my blog and sharing my angst helped me get through the dark days of my mom’s long illness and passing, I feel like it’s time for me to step back and spend more time building my photography portfolio, actually doing yoga rather than just talking about it, and perhaps trying to rediscover my books and love for reading and writing. Thank you all for your support over the years and for showing an interest in my little life, I’ll still be around and checking in on your blogs from time to time, have a happy and healthy 2010!
The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly. ~Buddha
Crying my heart out, Lilli… That was the nicest thing anyone could have done for you and your mom. I loved it—and even though I didn’t know her, it reminded me of my mother (who died in 1991)… I still miss her so much.
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a lovely tribute video for your Mum Lilli. It seems like there was a lot of love and happy times in her life , and she was so blessed to have you as her daughter.
I guess we all need to take time out from various activities now and then, which is all part of a natural cycle . I look forward to you coming back to us .
Lilli…what a beautiful tribute. I certainly understand the need to step back. We’ll visit with you again when you are ready to do so. Hugs.
very sweet–what a lovely tribute
peace to you, I’ll watch for your return ๐
A very beautiful tribute, indeed. I hope your time away from blogging is helpful and healing for you.
Lilli, That is a most beautiful tribute and it is fitting to the beautiful lady, your mom.
I understand where you are coming from with blogging. I rarely post on my own blog these days for similar reasons. But I found leaving it there gives me the option to write the occasional post (usually Photo Friday) when I feel like it.
I hope the break (however long or short it is) enables you to find some inner peace. It’s has been a great pleasure to get to know you over these past months.
Have a good 2010.
Very best wishes from Jan.
Oh, what a beautiful tribute! I wish you well – I’ll miss you since I just “found” you!… Take care of yourself.
Such a lovely tribute to your Mom. Bless you, Lilli, and take the time you need to heal within to without.

What a lovely idea. I was very close to my mom and something like this would be wonderful.
Oh my gosh that was beautiful. Your Mother’s warm smile and caring eyes are in each picture. That song was lovely too……I think I popped in to see you today for a reason. My girlfriend just lost her Mom last week and after she starts to heal I think she would enjoy hearing this song too.
Hugs to you…..I hope you are doing okay.
What a wonderful video to remember your mom. I hope you are well and that you pop in time to time to say hello. I know all about taking breaks to enjoy the present… ๐
Thanks for sharing so much with me too; i have to say this, you wrote on my blog once something about your mom’s passing… you wrote something like, when it is all happening you want it to hurry up and be done with but then later, i fell i want a redo.
i keep feeling this happening to me now, and it is so so true. it was just a small comment but it helped, helps, pops in my mind as i deal with losing my brother.
thanks and peace to your heart and family; enjoy your new bundle of life; and enjoy life.
