(almost) wordless wednesday

Mr. Bookbabie is making an appearance on my blog today in honor of Earth Day. That’s my guy enjoying his fifteen minutes of fame on the front page of the newspaper a “few” years ago. He was a very young Biology teacher at the time displaying a water purification system and he just confessed to me last night that he was actually distilling booze! Oh well, it was the early seventies after all, at least he didn’t have the students growing “herbs” in the greenhouse. He also told me he wishes he still had all that hair and those really groovy pants 🙂

  1. I happened to catch a few minutes of the movie “Alice’s Restaurant” with Arlo Guthrie yesterday while I was baby sitting. It reminded me of bell bottoms, groovy patterns in trousers, and long hair. “Where have all the young men gone, long time passing…?”

  2. LOL. That is too funny. We’ve had Earth Day before right? This year it’s much more prominent. I mean, even the Target ad this past sunday featured a ton of recycled products.

  3. Hi Lillie, Happy Earth Day to you and your hubby!!!! How neat to be featured in the newspaper!!!! Wow!!!

We are glad to be home.. It was a wonderful trip –just getting to see my son and family. BUT–the weather was horrible. Oh Well!!!!

I’m going to check through some of your older blog posts.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  4. Wow, I’ll bet HIS biology class was really popular! 🙂 And those are some far out, groovy pants, for sure.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.
