I took my mom to get some bloodwork early this morning and then spent a few hours hanging out with her while my dad golfed. She’s not doing so well. It was nice to just be with her though, seems like I usually see her just long enough to drag her to and from doctor appointments. When I got home I decided to participate with a blog that has people post photos of the sky where they live. I went to the park across the street and snapped a few, one of which is gracing this post. There’s a busy playground on one side of the park, a ball diamond, and this lovely little fishing hole tucked between some hills. As I was looking at the peace-filled photos I wondered why I don’t grab a book and go plop down there on a bench to read sometime?
Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. ~Rachel Carson
I like your photograph. And the little ripple of water makes it even nicer, I think. Nice shot.
A wonderful shot – very calm and peaceful!
Thank you for sharing!
Lovely photo, lovely place. I love the cloud reflections. Did a fish jump?
A beautiful sky and water reflection shot. I invite you to come seem my pictures of a mackerel sky, one of which is also a reflection. — Margy
A stunning picture with great reflections
I’m sorry to hear that your mom is not doing so well.
This is a beautiful photo. I love the reflections.
i used to sit often by the Charles River when i lived in Boston–I don’t do that now… i am asking myself now, because of this post, Why not now?
May your mom fill with light, health.
The whole pic is absolutely beautiful! I especially love the circling ripple you have captured in the water!
Beautiful photos, not sure what you ment by steeling your name. Thanks for the stop over tho
This picture is alive with color, movement, and tranquility, very well done. Thank you for sharing your “reflections.” Stepping out into nature seems to help me remain strong and grounded during difficult times -this scene you have captured looks like a lovely place to visit.
Beautiful photo! So lovely!
I agree with Abe: the little plop of the stone is the focus of this image. It is very beautiful and I do like the way you have framed it. I also like the quote from Rachel Carson. Welcome to Skywatch. It is a good community to be part of.
What a lovely setting! Sounds like you have enough stress to make time for the book over there sometime soon!
just love the sky and reflections! Watta shot!
What a peaceful looking scene. I love nice little ponds like the one you’ve shared with us. I don’t know how I missed this on friday. Pappy
The ripple was actually unplanned and caused by a jumping fish!
have a nice weekend!
I love that shot.
Beautiful clouds, lake, lily pads…I love it all. Would like to be somewhere that quiet right now. 🙂
